Emil

 Emil is Charlie's roommate at Halotempora. Emil is often calculating and slightly cold, even after warming up to Charlie and his friends. Emil came from India with nothing to his name and is fighting for recognition and status, like many of his classmates. 

Emil keeps Charlie grounded at Halotempora. Without Emil, Charlie would have a lot harder time. Emil is somewhat older than Charlie, and his maturity helps Emil with many difficult situations, some that Charlie has gotten him into!
